The nominees for British Artist of the Year, International Artist of the Year and BBC Live Performance of the Year of the 2015 BBC Music Awards have been disclosed, and we are not surprised by some names (huge comeback, Adele). AdeleEd Sheeran, Jamie xx, Florence And The Machine, Foals, and Years and Years are up for the first category, which last year was won by Ed Sheeran  himself, who now has the chance to double up.

On the International category we have a mainly American line-up with Foo Fighters, Prince, Taylor Swift, Major Lazer, joined by Irish Hozier and Canadian The Weeknd. Only the performances that featured on BBC platforms are nominated for the brand new category BBC Live Performance of the Year, and the nominees include Adele’s BBC One Special, Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra, Lionel Richie’s Glastonbury set and others.

The awards, which will take place on the 10th of December in Birmingham, will be broadcast on BBC One, Radio One, Radio Two, and online, and will feature performances from Mumford and Sons, James Bay, Ellie Goulding and Hozier, among others.
