A$AP Bari Officially Launches VLONE Label | Fashion News
Art director, creative director, stylist, style icon and A$AP Mob founder A$AP Bari, is the man behind cult fashion label VLONE. Its official launch took place via a unique presentation in heavily graffitied warehouse space with an installed half pipe in downtown Los Angeles.
Looks were presented by skaters and in attendance was Off – White’s Virgil Abloh, A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti and Ian Connor. Bari’s designs heavily feature the iconic VLONE branding, camo prints and stand out conflicting colours on a variety of jumpsuits, tees and hoodies. The event also signalled the beginning of a 15-day pop-up shop until April 30 in the same space, where the collection will be sold alongside a special collaboration with Virgil Abloh’s Off – White label.
The concept of the brand which can be seen frequently on style icons and rappers A$AP Rocky and Playboi Carti is outlined by Bari himself: “VLONE – Live Alone, Die Alone you feel me. It doesn’t matter if you were born in this world with a twin or not, you’re going to die in this world alone. I’m just trying to open up a new culture for the kids to know that it doesn’t matter about standing on the corner selling drugs — you can really make money out here just living your life“.
VLONE is certainly a label which has the backing from some major names within the hip-hop industry being attached to the hugely successful A$AP Mob and its members Rocky and Nast specifically as well as up coming rapper Playboi Carti. It will no doubt have a lot of success as a brand as it develops with backing from the likes of designer Virgil Abloh.
Stay tuned to find out when you can purchase items from the collection. In the mean time check one of the very few interviews with A$AP Bari here from clot.com.
