Slaying a lion, killing a giant, winning the hand of a princess, such was the short but eventful life of ABC’s Of Kings and Prophets, which only after ten days on the air has been cancelled. The quality of the trailer for the show further shows the reason why the fledgling Game of Thrones-esque show set in ancient Israel was axed.
The show debuted on 8th of March to 3.3m viewers, but that number dropped by nearly a million with the second. The drama stars Ray Winstone, Olly Rix, and Simone Kessell. The network faced similar issues with Wicked City, the network axing the similarly low rated series after just three episodes.
