Adam Driver Cast In Jim Jarmusch’s Next Project ‘Paterson’ | Film News
Adam Driver continues his tour of working with all of my favourite American directors after Empire announced he will star in Jim Jarmusch‘s next film.
Titled Paterson, little is known about the project other than it will be set in Paterson, New Jersey, and that Driver‘s character will be a bus driver and poet. Jarmusch is known for is off-beat sense of humour and experimental soundtracks – his films, which include Down By Law, Deadman, Coffee & Cigarettes and Only Lovers Left Alive, all differ in terms of content and narrative, however the auteur’s bleak brand of humour persists throughout.
Driver, who will appear later this month in J. J. Abrams‘ Star Wars: The Force Awakens as the villainous Kylo Ren, has a set of envious credentials to his name. After emerging as the fan favourite of HBO’s Girls, the actor has worked with the Cohen Brothers, Steven Spielberg, and Noah Baumbach… twice! I’m sure by this time next year he’ll have be rubbing shoulders with Richard Linklater and Wes Anderson too.
