Adele was out of the spotlight for three years but on October 18 during an advert on ITV, the nation was treated to a familiar, much-loved voice. It was later confirmed to be a snippet of “Hello” – Adele’s new single from 25 which will be released on November 20. So far, the official music video has received over 86m views on YouTube in four days, which amounts to approximately 21.5m a day. Not only that, but it’s swiftly on its way to achieving the most US digital sales in a week according to Billboard.

The current record is held by Flo Rida‘s “Right Round” which sold 636,000 downloads in early 2009; “Hello” sold about 450,000 in two days. If this keeps up, there’s no doubt that Adele will set a new record. The music video for “Hello” is available to watch below.
