Alex Da Kid + H.E.R. + Rapsody – Go | New Music
Working behind the scenes, British producer Alex Da Kid has been the one responsible for a plethora of smash hits from major superstars like B.o.B‘s “Airplanes” with Hayley Williams and Imagine Dragons “Radioactive“. And now, he adds to that lineup with his latest track “Go” – a collaboration with two superstars in the making in R&B sensation H.E.R and Grammy-nominated rapper Rapsody.
Encompassed by a rustic drum beat and deep lying bass and carried on home by delicate orchestral strings, Alex has managed to create sensual symphony of sounds which truly allows H.E.R to thrive in her element. “Go” is all about giving into temptations, especially if you’ve had one too many and H.E.R communicates this so perfectly just before Rapsody interjects and brings it all into focus.
According to Alex: “The song is about exploring the idea of escapism and all the multiple layers that come with that. I also wanted to work with two strong up and coming female artists that have interesting stories to tell.”
Probably the most unlikely pairing you will hear on New Music Friday but Alex Da Kid has a track record of bringing musical worlds together with such synchronicity and this is no exception.
