Amy Schumer has become the star of Vanity Fair’s May 2016 “Sisters” cover. The actress stuck to a classic style in keeping with the magazine: old Hollywood curls and a silk corset posed on a textured material backdrop. The photographer behind this shoot was Annie Leibovitz who used the tried and tested chic fitted look, led by director Jessica Diehl.

Of course this isn’t the first time celebrities have posed on the cover of Vanity Fair in this Fashion. Maybe the most talked about was the unveiling of Caitlyn Jenner, similarly positioned in a silk corset and sleek Hollywood volume. Katy Perry and Kate Upton are also members of this this classic cover girl club, previously sporting the trend in 2001 (Perry) and 2013 (Upton).
The appearance on the cover of Vanity Fair is the first since Schumer’s controversial outburst at Glamour magazine for being included in its plus size special edition: “Chic At Any Size”.
