Anton Yelchin Death Officially Ruled As An Accident | Film News
The Enterprise will be a lonelier place without him. Following the surprise and tragic passing of Star Trek actor Anton Yelchin, the LA County Coroner’s office has confirmed has been officially ruled as an accident, whilst Fiat Chrysler continues to investigate the incident in which the actor was crushed for any vehicular malfunction.
The actor was pinned down against a security fence by his car, the coroner confirming that the cause of death was “blunt traumatic asphyxia”, the injuries killing him in under a minute. Meanwhile, Fiat Chrysler commented on their continued investigation into his car:
“Drivers erroneously concluding that their vehicle’s transmission is in the ‘park’ position may be struck by the vehicle and injured if they attempt to get out of the vehicle while the engine is running and the parking brake is not engaged,”
