Apple May Be In Talks To Acquire Jay Z’s Tidal | Music News
It looks like Tidal could soon change owners. As Wall Street Journal reports, Apple is currently in “exploratory talks” to acquire Jay Z‘s streaming company.
According to sources, “terms of the potential deal aren’t yet known” but Apple is looking to buy Tidal to gain access to the exclusive artists that the company has signed on. This would mean that future releases from artists like Kanye West, Beyoncé, and Madonna, could be processed through Apple.
Tidal was launched in March 2015 and was acquired from Swedish company Aspiro.
