‘Arrow’ Gets A New Showrunner For Season 7 | TV News

Just a few weeks ago The CW announced the renewal of their DC TV series Arrow. After some changes were made to the cast, they have now announced that there will be changes behind the scenes too.

For the last few seasons, Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle have served as producers. Now that time comes to an end. While Mericle will leave the show completely, Guggenheim remains as an executive consultant to the show. Beth Schwartz who was a co-executive producer until now steps into the position as sole showrunner.

It will certainly infuse some new life into Arrow. After all, it has been running for six seasons now. Even Guggenheim himself said previously that the show needs something fresh. Guggenheim also steps down from Legends of Tomorrow leaving Phil Klemmer the sole showrunner on this one.
