A$AP Rocky – Jukebox Joints | Music Video

A$AP Rocky’s trippy new video for “Jukebox Joints” – directed by the trio of AGWE, Shomi Patwary and A$AP himself – takes us on an acid-tinged journey through NYC. The video serves as a head swirling accompaniment to a warm and soulful beat co-produced by none other than Kanye West, who has actually had his verse cut from the video version of this song.

The video starts in an ordinary enough setting with Rocky et al. standing around a jukebox, but everything rapidly dissolves into a contorting phantasmagoria that takes place amid a house party – by way of a hair salon of course. The theme from the video to “L$D”, which exhibited an aesthetic appreciation of the 2009 film Enter The Void, is continued and demonstrates the taste for psychedelic substances that A$AP Rocky seems to have developed and incorporated into his music. “Jukebox Joints” is featured on A$AP Rocky’s most recent album, At.Long.Last.A$AP, which was released earlier this year.
