Chick Quest are a, as they put it, “Spaghetti Western Post-Punk” rock band from Vienna, Austria. They comprise of Ryan White (vocals and guitar), an American expat from Athens, Georgia; and Austrians Iris Rauh (drums); Magdalena Kraev (bass) and Marcus Racz (trumpet and keyboards).
Their aim is to combine chord progressions from old 60’s Italian Western film scores with the immediacy of music by punk bands, like The Clash. They did this to much critical acclaim with 2015 debut, Vs. Galore. Now they are putting the finishing touches to their second album, which is set to be released early 2017.
