BBC Head Of Drama Polly Hill In Talks To Move To ITV | TV News

The BBC is in the throes of a struggle for its independence and identity, the Corporation losing its Drama Chief, Polly Hill, after less than a year in the job to rival ITV would be a massive blow to the BBC – though ITV isn’t Babylon with the large amount of higher ups leaving.

The impact of Hill’s departure is emphasised in her production of Wolf Hall and Poldark, two of the Corporations most prolific, and most successful hits. It’s important to mention that neither side has confirmed Polly Hill’s departure.

Hill succeeded Ben Stephenson in the role in May last year, the success of the genre since then was underlined by the glitzy launch events hosted by new channel’s boss Charlotte Moore.
