BBC To Celebrate Rock ‘n’ Roll In New Season Of TV And Radio Programming | Music News

 

The BBC has announced that they are going to be showing a season of shows to celebrate the birth of Rock ‘n’ Roll. The programmes will be broadcast across TV and Radio this summer for the Rock ‘n’ Roll America season. The Walking Dead actor David Morrissey will be narrating a special three-part series. BBC Four, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 6 will all broadcast programmes that celebrate this genre.

 

It will start by looking at the beginnings of Rock ‘n’ Roll America in the 1950s before the likes of Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. The series will also be featuring exclusive interviews from iconic artists including Tom Jones, the late Ben E King, Jerry Lee Lewis and more. The new documentary will air on 3rd July on BBC Four.
