Considering the power of social media, the comedy’s producers decided to take control and release a statement about the major episode before someone managed to leak the news. Let’s face it boys and girls, it would have happened somehow.
“After over five years of dating, we felt the time was right for Sheldon and Amy to finally consummate their relationship, and we’re so excited for the audience to see the journey over the next several episodes”, executive producer and showrunner Steve Molaro said in a statement. He also added, “and we’re so excited for the audience to see the journey over the next several episodes”. What this means for our favourite nerdy couple is unclear but be sure to tune in. The key episode will air on December 17.
