‘Big Bang Theory’ Star Johnny Galecki Almost Ended Up Playing Sheldon | TV News

It’s a bazinga surely? Johnny Galecki, who plays renowned experimental physicist Leonard Hofstadter in the hit CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory has recently revealed how things could have gone a little differently, for he could have easily ended up playing Sheldon! This information must prove the multiverse theory, right?

The show is currently airing its ninth season and is ranked as the most watched programme on CBS. Much of its success can be placed on Jim Parsons, for his portrayal of Sheldon Cooper has awarded him with a Golden Globe Award, Four Primetime Emmy Awards and considerably more. I mean, can you really see anyone else playing Sheldon? Johnny Galecki stated:

“It was a very selfish request on my part. I hadn’t been able to traverse those stories of the heart. I’ve often been cast as the best friend or the gay assistant of whatever character got to explore those relationships. I said I’d rather play this guy, who seems to have a future of romantic triumphs and difficulties”.

Well he certainly faced romantic difficulties, that’s for sure!
