It looks like CBS has finally found its crooked cop for its Training Day reboot, as Bill Paxton is set to play the role of Frank Rourke, a hardened LAPD veteran with a lot of moral issues. Taking on the same position as Denzel Washington in the original film, he will be taking an inexperienced and idealistic office under his wing, of which puts them at odds with what they believe.

Paxton is not new to the bad guy role, as he recently took on the character of John Garett, who was the leader of HYDRA in Marvel’s Agents of Shield. Ethan Hawke was initially rumoured to have been approached to reprise his role as Jake Hoyt, who would now be the deputy chief of police, but it seems like it was mere speculation.
