Billy Bragg And Joe Henry Announce Album And Tour | Music News

Billy Bragg 17.08.2016ANDREW

Billy Bragg and Joe Henry, who have announced the forthcoming release of their new collaborative album, entitled Shine A Light: Field Recordings From The Great American Railroad, have also announced tour dates together for November 2016 and January 2017. The album itself is due for release on Friday, September 23. For pre-order and tracklisting, visit here.

One particular track, which arguably informed the direction of the album, was their take on “Hobo’s Lullaby”. Woody Guthrie rode the freight trains across America during the Great Depression, the aforementioned, written and recorded in 1934 by Goebel Reeves, becoming a personal favourite.
