It seems Billy Corgan is not only about the music! The Smashing Pumpkins frontman has been an executive of TNA Wrestling since April 2015, a position he’s held full time, without giving up on his musical commitments. A big fan of wrestling himself, Corgan talked to TMZ about his role in the business as well as how he’d like to see the sport evolve.

The singer explained that women are misrepresented in wrestling, through behind-the-curve, misogynist marketing techniques. “I think there’s a whole host of ways to portray women in wrestling in the future that sort of gets away from the typical misogynist stuff,” he told TMZ, while pointing out that wrestlers like Ronda Rousey should be promoted for all the right reasons. “I think she embodies everything that’s about smart, sexy and tough, I think that’s shown to be a huge marketable asset.” Check out his chat with TMZ here.
