After dropping his “Breakfast Club”-inspired single, the Cash Money, Birdman, boss delivers the music video for “Respek”. He has a lot planned for this year, with his next solo album, Ms. Gladys, out Friday, June 24.
His Rich Gang 2: The Lifestyle compilation is due Friday, July 1. Plus, he has got a joint mixtape with Jacquees slated to land soon, which he recently teased with a new single.
“Respek” has the signature rattling drum machine, and is very high tempo with a slightly ominous keyboard thing going on. Halfway, the middle section, if you will, there is a brief acapella to accentuate the hardcore vocals.
The visuals see him surrounded by friends in New Orleans. This is primarily in a bar, but also explores other stomping grounds, like the area he grew up in.
