Björk Announces VR Exhibition And London Show | Music News

Björk‘s interest in art has always been vivid throughout her career: after an incredibly successful collaboration with the MoMA, the Icelandic singer is ready to launch Björk Digital at the Somerset House in London.

The exhibition – running from Thursday, September 1 to Sunday, October 23 – features a number of VR experiences based on tracks from her latest album, Vulnicura, as well as previously unreleased material and the educational apps developed alongside her 2011 album, Biophilia. More information about the exhibition is available on the Somerset House official website.

Björk will also perform a one-off show at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday, September 21 to coincide with the exhibition. Tickets go on sale on Friday, July 22 at 9am from the venue website.

I speak as loud as the volume I listen to music, and this is probably symptomatic of my love for pop music: I love pop music because it is often unapologetically in-your-face, it shouts rather than tell, it drives you crazy. And after 21 years loving pop music, I think I’ve completely gone mad. It all started in 1997, when my mum bought me my first cassette: needless to say, it was ‘Barbie Girl’ by Aqua, and from that point on, it’s been a never-ending loving relationship between me and music. I study, work and live life part-time, and listen to music full-time.
