Brad Pitt, star of Fight Club and World War Z, has admitted recently to owning a gun since kindergarten. The Oklahoma born actor revealed in an interview with the Radio Times that from a young age, guns have been a main part of his life. He was given an air rifle at a young age before inheriting his grandfather’s shotgun at the age of 6, and by the age of 8 had already fired a handgun. The actor said, “there’s a rite of passage where I grew up of inheriting your ancestors’ weapons“. Along with this, he admitted that he does not feel safe for himself or his family if there is no gun in the house. America is already having problems enough with the firearms debate and odds are this is just going to put gas on the flames of the argument.
