Pop legend Britney Spears took to Twitter to announce that she is to receive the prestigious Millennium Award at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. Previous recipients of the award include Beyonce and Whitney Houston. Spears also revealed that she will be performing a medley of her greatest hits at the show to mark the achievement. Hits including “…Baby One More Time”, “Oops! I Did it Again” and “Toxic”.
This will be the second time Britney performs on stage outside of her Las Vegas residency ‘Piece Of Me’, which has been extended to 2017. She joins the list of already confirmed performers on the night including Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber. The Billboard Music Awards will take place in Las Vegas on Sunday May 22.
