Bruce Forsyth Forced To Pull Out Of Presenting ‘Strictly’ Christmas Special | TV News

He’s one of TV’s most iconic presenters, but sadly ol’ timer Bruce Forsyth is being forced to set aside his dancing shoes, for the 87 year old veteran has pulled out of presenting BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special due to health related issues and will be replaced by full-time Strictly presenter Claudia Winkleman alongside Tess Daly.

Previously, Forsyth underwent keyhole surgery on an abdominal aortic aneurysm last month; which he is still recovering from. Set to begin recording next week, the BBC have stated that it is too soon for Sir Bruce “to have made a full recovery” and “due to the long studio hours, he is unable to host the show, but will still play a part in the production”.

He will play his part by recording a video message at home, the BBC confirmed this by saying: “Sir Bruce will record a special video message for this year’s celebrity line-up and the viewers at home, which will play out when the Strictly Christmas Special airs on BBC One on Christmas Day at 6:15pm”. Get well soon Brucie!
