‘Captain America: Civil War’ Trailer Sets New Viewing Record | Film News

 

Who’s side are you on? The official trailer for Walt Disney’s Captain America: Civil War has already generated shield shattering success after gaining 61 million views in just 24 hours; making it the most watched Marvel film trailer of all time. Set for release on May 6, 2016, the trailer has surpassed previous record holder Star Wars: The Force Awakens which generated 55 million views in 24 hours. It has also thrashed Marvel’s previous record, held by Avengers: Age of Ultron which debuted with 34 million views in 2014.

 

Starring Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man and Chris Evans as Captain America, the movie centres around a feud between the former allies, which will leave the Avengers in turmoil. The movie also stars Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) and Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier).
