So we all know Cara Delevingne is a world renowned British model, but will she be a worthy leading lady? It has been announced that she will star as Margo Roth Spiegelman in the film adaptation of another bestselling novel by John Green (A Fault in Our Stars) titled Paper Towns. The 22-year-old face of Topshop and Burberry was confirmed as the lead role by both 20th Century Fox and the author himself, with John Green tweeting his excitement yesterday, “Cara Delevingne’s audition blew everyone away (including me!) and she understands Margo profoundly. I am so excited!

The story is of a high school senior Quentin Jacobs, who has forever been in love with the unpredictable and mysterious girl next door Margo Roth Spiegelman. One night when Margo asks Quentin to go on an adventure, he ofcourse jumps at the chance. When he wakes, he finds Margo is missing and a set of clues have been left behind, leading him to her whereabouts. Quentin sets off on a mission to discover where the girl he admires has disappeared to and why.

Due for release in 2015, the screenplay will be written by the same duo who brought The Fault In Our Stars to our screens, Michael H Weber and Scott Neustadter. Delevingne has landed some minor acting roles in the past – and now this is her opportunity to prove that she is not just a pretty face.
