Carrie Fisher’s Daughter Billie Lourd Confirmed To Return For ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ | Film News

Billie Lourd

Following her debut blink-and-you’ll-miss-it performance in J.J AbramsThe Force Awakens, Billie Lourd has confirmed she will be returning in Star Wars: Episode VIII (hopefully she’ll have more dialogue this time).

Best known for her role as Chanel in E4’s Scream Queens, Lourd starred as Lietenant Connix; sporting Princess Leia’s hair buns from A New Hope. Sadly, her only dialogue was “General, are you seeing this”? – which she directed to the newly titled General Liea Organa played by her real-life mother Carrie Fisher.

When questioned at promotional event in Los Angeles whether film director Rian Jonhson has asked her to return for the eighth installment, she simply responded “I can’t say much about it, but yes”. She also swore to secrecy when asked if she would divulge any further about her next project by keeping her answer short and sweet: “I am working on Star Wars VIII, but that’s all I can say”. Nice try guys!
