Karl Lagerfeld’s imagination has really no limits. For this season, Chanel displayed an incredible collection inspired from the space, dominated by the Chanel Rocket completed with a lift off sequence.
In the newly galactic frame of the Gran Palais, models walked down accompanied by Elton John’s “Rocket Man” (could not miss) and the tunes of Daft Punk.
On the runway, the French luxury fashion house presented 60s style dresses and cap-toe go-go boots, boasting a variety of colours but saw the silver glitter the dominant tone. To face the galactic winter for the autumn/winter 2017 season, Chanel proposes metallic Mylar blankets and a hefty serving of nubby Chanel tweeds cut into suits, shirts, trousers, and dresses, and worn with sparkle tights.
