Charli XCX has been in the studio knocking up her response to Sucker. The follow-up is apparently nearly finished. In a new interview regarding her new fashion campaign with House of Holland, she modestly mentioned that the new, still untitled record “could change the sound of pop music”.

Charli added it is “the album I’ve been trying to make forever. There are some high-octane plastic moments and then more piano ballad situations. I’m into East 17 right now”. Perhaps much stranger is her apparent deep admiration for Paris Hilton, particularly “Stars are Blind” which was very well received by music critics.

I've always wanted to be involved in the media since before I even left school; to write for a living.I feel most eloquent when mapping out my thoughts on paper or on a computer screen.I studied media at college for two years, and went straight into third year at university studying publishing with journalism. After a range of work experience, I did a magazine journalism course in Bournemouth, a long way away from my hometown of Aberdeen, achieving my NCTJ qualifications. Now I spend my time gladly writing about music.
