Chart Topper Lethal Bizzle Announced As Nando’s Music Exchange Mentor | Music News

Grime legend Lethal Bizzle will turn his hand to mentoring as part of Nando’s Music Exchange flagship workshop this year, from June 4-7.

The programme, now in its fourth year, helps emerging musicians turn the heat up on their careers through global two-way exchanges and collaboration. This year’s students and mentors come from the UK, South Africa, Australia and Canada.

Dench‘ pioneer Bizzle will be joined by three established artists: rapper and published poet Sho Madjozi from South Africa; Australian female rapper Tkay Maidza; and representing Canada, Nathaniel Motte, best known as one half of popular duo 3OH!3. Previous mentors include Stormzy, Ella Eyre, Little Simz, Dope St Jude and Example.

The musicians will lend their expertise to 38 talented participants who were chosen from more than 150 applicants, as they are tasked with producing a track from scratch at the Roundhouse Young Creatives studio in Camden. Participants will also hear from industry experts at specially curated panel talks, with further names to be announced across the four days.

Lethal Bizzle, who has more than 15 years of experience in the music industry says: “I’ve benefitted from my own mentors over the years such as Richard Antwi, so it’s good to have the opportunity to share what I’ve learnt with the next generation of artists.”

“I’m especially looking forward to seeing what happens when talent from all over the world gets together in a studio to make music from scratch. Hopefully I’ll learn something myself, too!”

Members of the public will be given the opportunity to attend panel talks with industry experts and talent on Thursday, June 7. More details and ticket information will be announced in the coming weeks.
