Cher Unveiled As Face Of Marc Jacobs Autumn 2015 Campaign | Fashion News

With all this major celebrities in campaigns, Justin Bieber for Calvin Klein and Joan Didion for Céline, it comes as no surprise that Marc Jacobs had to go big, and what better way than with the fashion icon since the 60’s, Cher. Marc Jacobs released a photo from his Autumn campaign, starring his date from this year’s Met Gala, yesterday on Instagram, photographed by David Sims, where Cher appears sitting wearing a floor-length black gown and long beautiful hair with a red background, inspired by Diana Vreeland’s apartment in her later years.

It is still not for sure that this is just a campaign where Cher rides solo, or would it be the beginning of gorgeous series of photographs with different muses. Having this icon as the face of Marc Jacobs campaign, feels a little bit like Givenchy having Donatella Versace posing with creative director, Ricardo Tisci, it feels more real, inspirational and less media hunger than the rest that we’ve seen, you can actually see art and this designer celebrating and respecting this woman, hopefully we get to see more images very soon.
