Chris Columbus Wants J.K. Rowling To Write ‘Harry Potter’ Sequel | Film News
Chris Columbus, the director of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, has expressed an interest in making another Harry Potter film, and he wants JK Rowling to write the sequel. Columbus told Entertainment Weekly, “I’m just fascinated about what happened to them after the end of the last movie“. On asking JK Rowling to pen another story, Columbus continued, “I don’t have the courage to actually mention that to her because I have such respect for her“. The film adaption of Rowling’s Harry Potter spin off book, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is due for release in 2016 and stars Eddie Redmayne.
