Chris Evans Endured ‘Perfect Storm’ In Making ‘Top Gear’ Revival | TV News
The new series of Top Gear arrives next Sunday, and with it comes the increase in PR for the show from both Chris Evans and the BBC. Just days after quashing notions of a rift between him and fellow co-star Matt LeBlanc, Chris Evans has commented that he had to endure a “perfect storm” of criticism from the press. He added by commenting:
“I thought it was ultimately funny, some of – almost all – of the observations from certain aspects of the press have been so nonsensical and so facile and fictitious … All the people they were talking about in lots of the stories know the truth.”
With a riposte like that, I am very interested in watching the pilot this coming Sunday.
