Craig David Covers Justin Bieber On Live Lounge | Music News
Craig David stories are like buses: you wait for one to come your way, and then three turn up together; or, in this case, two, as I have a double-whammy of top Craig David news to delight you with. Yesterday (January 6) David to a trip down to Radio 1Xtra’s Live Lounge to treat listeners to a special acoustic rendition of his new track “When The Bassline Drops” ably abetted by grime star Big Narstie. He also gave us his unique take on Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” – Craig David-style, of course, meaning that he threw in some freestyling for good measure.
David’s career seems to be undergoing a successful renaissance of late, being handpicked by Cheryl Fernandez-Versini to accompany her group Reggie N’Bollie in the X Factor live finals. And now Cheryl wants a piece of the action herself, hoping to make sweet music with David himself as she currently works on her 5th studio album. They’re both fans of each other’s music, so this could be a recipe for chart success.
