D.J Caruso In Talks To Direct ‘G.I Joe 3’ | Film News

Paramount are in talks with I Am Number Four director, D.J Caruso, to take on the third installment of the G.I Joe movie franchise. It was only several months ago that Golden Eye director Martin Campbell was rumoured to be taking lead from G.I Joe: The Rise of The Cobra director Stephen Sommers and G.I Joe: Retaliation director Jon M. Chu. Now Caruso’s in the mix, who will helm the next installment?

With a fairly impressive filmography behind him, Caruso’s experience lies in the young-adult genre with films like Disturbia and Eagle Eye, both starring Shia LaBeouf, and bagging a job like this could really boost his reputation and notoriety. It’s unknown whether Channing Tatum will return to his role as Duke but with his brilliant banter with Dwayne Johnson as Roadblock in the second film, it would be a shame not to see those two reunite on screen, no matter who’s helming the project.
