Dave Grohl Injures Leg During Performance In Sweden | Music News

Dave Grohl has injured his leg during a performance in Gothenburg, Sweeden. The band were playing their second song in their set at the Ulvei Stadium when Grohl attempted to jump onto a ramp and missed and fell into the security pit. Grohl apparently told the crowd, “I think I just broke my leg. I’m going to go to the hospital. I’m going to fix my leg. And then I’m going to come back. You have my promise right now that the Foo Fighters – we’re going to come back and finish the show“.

Eyewitnesses told the BBC that the band continued playing and entertained the crowd with covers while Grohl got some medical attention. He late returned and said “I may not be able to walk or run but I can still play guitar and scream“. A statement from Foo Fighters’ representative confirms that Grohl sustained “at least one fracture“, though it’s noted that he’s still being evaluated. It’s also been confirmed that their performances on June 14 at Pinkpop and June 16 in St. Gallen, Switzerland have been cancelled. You can watch an unofficial video below of Grohl talking to the audience and being carried off stage here.
