David Tennant Plays The Villain in ‘Postman Pat: The Movie’ | Film Trailer
Classic children’s cartoon Postman Pat is being turned into a film. Many are aware of Pat, his cat Jess and the tricky situations they get themselves into and now those situations are coming to the big screen with Steven Mangan (Green Wing, Episodes) playing the role of Postman Pat, while David Tennant (Doctor Who) will be playing the villain. Jim Broadbent and Rupert Grint (Harry Potter) also feature in this cartoon classic.
The story has been revamped with Pat going to audition on a singing show, the lead judge Simon Cowbell is amazed by his singing abilities and seeing Pat’s new found fame causes Tennant’s character to devise a way to completely replace Pat, who he despises. Tennant creates robots that look exactly like Pat to take his place and the robots soon begin causing havoc in the town of Greendale.
The film ventures to bring Postman Pat into the 21st century. This is an excuse to take your younger family members to the cinema. The film will be released in UK cinemas on May 23, 2014.
