Dior Unveils Spring/Summer Haute Couture Collection | Fashion News
Yesterday (January 26), in a beautiful show set in the Rodin Museum in Paris, amongst scaffolding offset by soft and pure mirrored walls, celebrities such as Elizabeth Olsen and Natalie Portman arrived to get a first-look at Raf Simon’s Dior Spring/Summer 2015 Haute Couture Collection. Some key-words for the show include “moonage daydream”, “woman-flower,” “strange”, and “futuristic” among others, given by Simon himself. Beginning with the venue, Simon wanted to combine a futuristic feeling with nostalgia – such as adding plastic to coats and jackets, vibrant vinyl on dresses and shirts, or tattooed bodies. The collection is definitely unique, especially for traditionally classic Dior, and the formal release is definitely anticipated. Check out some of the collection below and relive the full catwalk show here.
