The Book of Life director Jorge Gutierrez has been tapped by Warner Bros. to take over the development of The Lego Movie spin off Billion Brick Race. The project had previously been developing under Jason Segel and Drew Pearce.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, directors of The Lego Movie who were recently fired from the upcoming Han Solo film, will produce this new project alongside Roy Lee, under executives Chris McKay and Jill Wilfert.
