The Star Wars Anthology film that will feature a young solo has narrowed down its shortlist of potential actors. The untitled project will be directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller and is being written by Star Wars stalwart Lawrence Kasdan.
Variety has reported that Lucasfilm and Disney have a list of 12 actors that are all expected to have a screen-test including Miles Teller (pictured below), Dave Franco, Ansel Elgort, Logan Lerman, Scott Eastwood and Jack Reynor. This potential list is not inspiring a lot of confidence but Lord and Miller have a tack record of unexpected success in their previous work, The Lego Movie and The Jump Street films.
The untitled Han Solo film isn’t expected until May of 2018 and filming won’t begin until January of next year, so it will be some time before we hear anything for definite. Whoever they cast I am sure there will be a big internet backlash, but in Lord and Miller we trust!
