Disney Unveils Stunning ‘Star Wars Rogue One’ Behind-The-Scenes Footage Ahead Of Trailer Release | Film News
Disney had promised a lot of good news regarding their Star Wars legacy and The Star Wars Celebration, which takes place in London, has already started delivering some of them. The convention hosts an exhibition of props and set pieces from the latest installment, Rogue One, and at this very moment has gathered the cast of the new movie for a panel.
They also gave audiences worldwide a first sneak peak of some behind-the-scenes footage in the form of a ‘Celebration Reel’ in the spirit of J.J. Abrams‘ The Force Awakens.
The clip below sets the tone and themes of the new movie, which are reminiscent of Lucas’ movies but also aim to leave their own trace or as Gareth Edwards says, they are not afraid to take risks.
You can clearly see that this approach pays off as we are treated to a series of mid-close shot of our titular heroes – Jyn (Felicity Huffman), Cassian (Diego Luna) and fan favorite Chirrut Îmwe (Donnie Yen), as well as a more familiar face Mon Mathma (Genevieve O’Reilly).
Alongside the character shots we can sense the grand scope of the movie simply by looking at the various picturesque shots of the scenery, ranging from deserts to lush jungles and it’s amazing to see how the characters interact with it.
The anticipation for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has been building for quite some time and before we can bring you the new trailer you can now spoil yourself by checking out the new Celebration Reel below:
