DJ Claims Silent Track Removed By Soundcloud For Copyright Infringement | Music News
D.J. Detweiler has claimed that Soundcloud removed one of his tracks which they stated contained copyrighted content, but he says was completely silent. The name of the piece in question was “John Cage – 4′ 33 (DJ DETWEILER REMIX)” – John Cage‘s infamous “4′ 33” of course being an orchestra sitting in silence for said 4 minutes and 33 seconds, therefore alluding to the silence of the remix.

Soundcloud claim however that the track was not completely silent, stating to Business Insider that it did in fact contain samples of Justin Bieber‘s “What Do You Mean?” without permission. DJ Detweiler has yet to respond to this accusation.
