As well as the music, Drake has always been one to be creative with everything that he does. Recently the Canadian born OVO artist opened up about his early beginnings and the journey towards his fame and fortune in a new series of episodes produced by The Fader, in support of Sprite’s Obey Your Verse lyrical collection. In these series of interviews, Drake speaks about his early life in regards to the birth of his music.

 

Coming from an under represented country in the rap game such as Canada, he speaks about the determination that he had to put Canada on the music scene. He explains how he was told by people to move to New York if he was serious about making it in the music industry, but instead, he decided to stick to his roots saying, “do it from where you’re at.
