Breakout British songstress Ella Mai goes from strength to strength as releases the video for her long-awaited 2017 single “Naked“. Having made quite an impression in the states alongside DJ Mustard, she returns to the foreground, making a bold statement about the importance of love and acceptance in our society in a beautiful way.
In the Keoni Marcelo-directed video, the shots are focused on Ella, including her stripped back in a bath tub and also in pajamas. Accompanied by the beautiful guitar chords, she speaks on the importance of seeing people for who they are, past the flaws. The video also features shots of a supporting cast of an array of different races, genders, ages, body types and more.
The most striking and soul stirring part of the video comes at the very end where they all come together in one shot and different people are holding up signs, campaigning for different causes, such as the #MeToo and #TimesUp movement, #BlackLivesMatter & #JusticeForGrenfell.
