Elle Fanning & Timothee Chalamet Eyed For Woody Allen’s Next Project | Film News

Elle Fanning and Timothee Chalamet have been eyed for two of the three leads in Woody Allen‘s next film, and are in early talks to star according to The Tracking Board.

Like most of the controversial director’s films, plot details and even the title are being kept under wraps, but it’s worth noting that Allen intends to make a film about young love this time around, following a larger focus on older generations in some of his recent work.

Fanning, who currently stars in Sofia Coppola‘s The Beguiled and will appear in A24’s How To Talk To Girls At Parties later this year, has already established herself as one of the best actors of her generation.

Chalamet got some attention for roles in Christopher Nolan‘s Interstellar and the TV show Homeland, before wowing audiences in Sundance favourite Call Me By Your Name.

While there’s still likely plenty of details to iron out and a third star still to be found, this slight change in direction from Allen should be interesting.

In the meantime, his 2017 release, Wonder Wheel, a 1950s New York period drama starring Kate Winslet and Justin Timberlake is set to be released Friday, December 1.
