Estelle – Something Good | New Music
If you are a R&B and electronic music lover, this is your song. Estelle returns today with a brand new single titled “Something Good”, and it is definitely a song to enjoy dancing. With a vibe that transmit happiness and conviction, “Something good” is upbeat, with its piano rhythm combining with the cowbell, to produce a sexy feeling which immediately takes you to the dance floor. The record also sounds like a 70’s/80s style dance record and I imagine everyone wearing fluorescent clothes, dancing under the disco ball surrounded by lot of colour´s lights.
Trumpets and trombones sound in addition to violin arrangements dominate the middle of the song, and Estelle’s voice and the chorus are as expected, with a pronounced R&B and Soul flavour. The song is fairly repetitive, but after four minutes it changes completely. Suddenly it enters into chill House territory, with her voice turning to mystery, while electronic arrangements are more evident.
Her forthcoming album True Romance is due out November 4, and on September 3O, Estelle will perform at the star-studded New Yorkers for Children 13th Annual Fall Gala at Cipriani 42 in New York City, in the mean time, enjoy dancing to “Something Good” below.
