Eurosport Set To Partner With BBC In Live Broadcasts Of Wimbledon | TV News
Wimbledon is probably one of the last tournaments to enter commercial ownership in the way that you can watch it. It is understood that Eurosport seems to be on the verge of a deal with the BBC to partner up in the live UK coverage of Wimbledon this coming summer.
Under the proposed deal, Eurosport will simultaneously broadcast live coverage of the final with the BBC, also airing evening highlights of the days events. Speaking at a press conference in Paris, Eurosport chief executive Peter Hutton said that whilst he could not officially announce the deal but that all the details had been ironed out with the BBC.
“It’s with the regulator, everything else is sorted”
