Ezra Miller Joins Cast Of ‘The Stanford Prison Experiment’ | Film News

Having appeared in the immensely popular films We Need to Talk about Kevin and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Ezra Miller is now joining Billy Crudup and Michael Angarano on the cast of The Stanford Prison Experiment, a film which has been in the works for over ten years.

The social study upon which the film is based was conducted at Stanford University in 1971. A group of randomly selected 19 and 20 year olds were split into two groups: prisoners and prison guards. While the study was supposed to go on for two weeks, it had to be cut short due to the “prison guards” exercising their authority over their “prisoners” and treating them cruelly simply because they had the power to do so. Indeed, it will be an interesting film to say the least, and it is definitely one I am looking forward to.
