Facebook Rumoured To Be Planning Music Streaming Service | Music News

Social media giant Facebook is set to enter the world of music streaming with plans of launching it’s very own service. Music Ally, a well respected source of music and tech news, commented that Facebook is planning to follow up its trail on videos that play natively to the site, rather than via Youtube, this is an experiment which will likely include music videos and could possibly leads to it’s full streaming service. The music video service is expected to be released within the next few months and if successful, will likely encourage the launch of the full music streaming service. Streaming has become an increasingly popular form of music consumption, earlier this year Nielson Soundcan revealed that total streams were up from 106 billion in 2013 to 164 billion in 2014.
