Fashion World Celebrates ‘Fashion Revolution Day’ | Fashion News

Yesterday social media networks across the world were flooded with selfies from fashion fans, designers such as Stella McCartney and style icons all wearing their clothes inside out. Supported by the hashtag #whomademyclothes, Fashion Revolution Day was created to raise awareness of fair trade in fashion and honour the tragedy of the Rana Plaza building collapse that killed over 1,1000 workers in 2013. Calling for a more ethical fashion trade, the people behind Fashion Revolution said, “we aren’t just purchasing a garment or accessory, but a whole chain of value and relationships“, whilst tweeting images of garment producers around the world to raise awareness.
